不思議なベストをご紹介しましょう。上から裾まで同目数 なのにサイズの違う編み棒を使って編むと、このように裾にフレアーができるのです。 This is the magic top. It has the same amount of stitches on the top and bottom but the needle has been changed 3 times to larger needles which results in a flare at the bottom.

休みも終えてやっと教室再開です。新しいお客さんもお見えになりました！ With last week's holidays, it was great to finally see everyone again and get back into the yarn!  We even had some special visitors!

今週のプロフィ—ル Profile of the Week

寺澤さんは今年の5月にヤーンアライブに参加するようになりました。花渕浜の自宅は津波で大きな被害をうけました。ヤーンアライブに来てから手編みやかぎ針編みを習い始め、分からない時には教えてもらったりできるヤーンアライブの素敵な仲間が大好きです。紫色を使ってベストを編むのが好きです。

Terasawa only recently joined Yarn Alive in May 2013. Her house in Hanabuchihama was badly damaged by the tsunami. She likes to knit and crochet. Her favorite project is making vests and she loves the color purple.  What she likes about Yarn Alive is that she been taught how to knit. When she doesn’t know how to do something, everyone helps to teach her. It’s a great community!
