私たちは、編み物をする時に誰に使ってもらうために編もうかと考えます。 これからの数ヶ月は、地元の病院で生まれた未熟児たちのベビーウェアとケアホームにいらっしゃるお年寄りのブランケット作りに励みます。ブログに写真を載せるのを楽しみにしています。 イギリスでの、贈り物としての編み物の記事の要約をご紹介 しましょう。オーストラリアで船から漏出したオイルに塗れてしまったペンギンを救うために、ペンギンに着せるセーターを多くにニッターたちが協力したと伝えています。

We love knitting and crocheting with a purpose! In the next couple of months, Yarn Alive will be making baby wear for a local hospital that specializes in premature baby births, Angel Pockets and blankets for an Elderly home. We look forward to showing you many pictures.

黄色のベスト Yellow Vest

いろいろなステッチを混ぜた編み方の黄色のベスト。ヤーンも手触りや風合いが素敵です。 This fun yellow vest is made of a combination of stitches. The yoke is knitted in stockinette stitch. The rest is crocheted with a fancy yarn that has the bobbles attached.

エンジェルポケット Angel Pockets

今日はみんなでエンジェルポケットの編み方を習いました。エンジェルポケットは生まれる前や生後間もなく亡くなったベイビーを持つ両親のためのものです。この美しい四角の編み物はベイビーを失った悲しみへの慰めとなることに役立つことができます。　これらのスペシャルポケットは仙台にある病院に寄付されます。 Today the ladies learned how to make Angel Pockets. Angel Pockets are for parents who have sadly lost their little one before or after birth. These beautiful knitted squares can be emotionally tough to make but certainly provide a special outfit for those mourning their loss. These special pockets will be donated to one of the hospitals here in Sendai, Japan.

素晴らしい才能 New Talent

ヤーンアライブの新しいメンバーのかやまさんをご紹介します。毎週、息子さんを連れてクラスに来ていて、息子さんはクラスの間いい子で遊んでいますから、前からメンバーだと思っている方もいるでしょう。いよいよ、彼女は最近編み棒を手に取り編み始めていたのですが、出来上がった作品がこれです！素晴らしい才能！ Let us introduce you to our newest member Kayamasan. You would have seen her face in pictures before so you probably think that she is not new! Well she comes each week so that her son can play in the small area adjacent to where Yarn Alive meets. We really love her and her son! Recently, she has picked up the needles and started to learn! And look what she has made! We love new talent!!!
