写真コンクール Photo Competition

ヤーンアライブ2周年記念日の集いでメンバーの皆さんがそれぞれ撮った写真です。どの写真がお気に入りでしょうか？最も投票数の多かった写真家(！)には賞品が贈られますので是非投票してください。
Here are the photos taken at our Anniversary parties by each of the ladies with their disposable cameras.  Which one is your favorite? The photographer of the most voted one will get a prize!

ランチの写真 Lunch photos

被災者たちが共に集い、たくさん笑い、数えきれないほど多くの綺麗な作品を作って来たヤーンアライブ火曜日クラスの二周年記念会を今日行いました。
Tuesday's Yarn Alive class had a great day celebrating 2 years of coming together, laughing lots and creating countless of beautiful items!
隣町のレストランまでの車でのドライブも何人かにとっては久しぶりの遠出(^_^)でした。
It was a fun ride in an entourage of cars to the restaurant in the town next door. For some, this was a big trip!
レストランに着くと、各自先ずかの有名な(！)花のブローチを身につけ、プレゼンテーションを楽しみ、カメラを手にとって写真を撮りあいました。撮った写真は今週末にウェブサイトに掲載し、ベスト写真家(？)には賞品がでますのでお楽しみにお待ちください。
On arrival, each lady received one of the famous pin flowers.  Adorned with their flower, everyone enjoyed a short presentation (as seen in yesterday's update) and disposable cameras for them to snap away and capture special moments.  These photos will be posted later this week and YOU can choose which one captures the moment the best! The photographer of the best photo will win a special prize.
美味しい食事と素晴らしい仲間と歌ったり、笑ったりの楽しいひと時は忘れられない思い出になりました。そんな時でも、誰かが持ち込んできた編み物作品の出来栄えを言い合ったりするのはヤーンアライブらしい一コマでした。
With amazing food, great company, a special song by one of the ladies, lots of laughter (always in true Yarn Alive style) and even some inspection of a few new crocheted items that sneaked in (again, in true Yarn Alive style!) - it was a day to remember!

そんな仲間と二周年をお祝いできたことは本当に素晴らしいことでした。皆様のご支援の賜物と、ここに重ねてお礼を申し上げます。

今週のプロフィ—ル Profile of the Week

稲妻京子さんは、我らが愛する92歳のさくよおばあちゃんの娘さんです。鍵棒編みでスカーフを編むのが好きです。色はピンクが好きです。ヤーンアライブでは仲間と一緒に楽しみながら手編みについて色々学べるので、クラスに来るのが楽しみです。

Kiyoko Inatsuma is the daughter-in-law of Sakuyo – our beloved 92 year old grandma. She loves to crochet and loves the color pink.  Her favorite project is making scarves.  Her favorite thing about Yarn Alive is learning new things and having fun with everyone.

 

2年years!!

毛糸配布タイム！ここ２年間、配布の時はいつもにぎやかでした！ Yarn Distribution time! Week after week for the past 2 years, yarn distribution has always been a crazy time!

来週ヤーンアライブは２周年を迎えます。シンプルなアイディアがここまで人生をインパクトするものになることは素晴らしいことです。皆様の多くは素敵な励ましの言葉、美しい毛糸とグッズ、また寛大な寄付金を下さいました。皆様の力無しでは出来ませんでした。

Next week, Yarn Alive will be celebrating its 2 year anniversary. It is amazing how such a simple idea has become something that has impacted so many lives.  Over these 2 years, many of you have sent beautiful words of encouragement, amazing stashes of gorgeous yarn and supplies and generous monetary contributions.  We could not have done this without you!

ですから、２周年記念パーティーとしてクラスの女性方だけでなく支援者の皆様を祝うスライドショーを持ちたいと思っています。これまでにヤーンアライブにいらした方で写真をクラスの方と撮った人　はどうぞyarnalive@gmail.comに送って下さい。（添付ファイルは大きければ大きいほど良いです！）メッセージを送りたい方も一緒にメールくだされば、プレゼンテーションに含めます。

So, as part of our anniversary parties (for both Tuesday and Wednesday class), we want to show a slideshow that not only honors the ladies in class but also YOU! If you have visited any of the Yarn Alive classes over the past 2 years and have pictures taken of yourself with any of the ladies, please email yarnalive@gmail.com and attach the photo (the bigger the size of the photo, the better!). If you would like to send a message, please also send it via the above email address and we will add this into the presentation.
