The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here's an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 8,400 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 14 years to get that many views.
We had an amazing time at the Kesennuma's Mother's Home yesterday. These ladies that work here are our heroes! Read more about their story from our last visit in September 2011.

Throughout the year we have been receiving blankets and toys from the Kyōyū kyōyū – share group. So we were able to bundle these up and drive them up to this special place 3 hours away.
We were also able to give a box of gifts from Pastor Sakaguchi and his congregation in Tokushima.
Bingo games + lap steel guitar carols + minyou (traditional Japanese folk song) lots of food + lots of laughter + lots of yarn = YARN ALIVE CHRISTMAS PARTY
As a Christmas present, each lady received photos of themselves and their friends from the year of 2012 along with Yarn Alive postcards. Each lady was also given a Christmas bulb with a number written on it. When their number was called out, they were able to choose a stash of yarn of their liking.

On behalf of all the Yarn Alive ladies, we want to say thank you for all your support, generous donations, kind words and prayers. We are so thankful to have each and every one of you a part of Yarn Alive.
We wish you a very Merry Christmas!
