Yarn Alive finally commenced today. Due to Japanese holidays this month, we have not had a chance to meet until today - but the wait was worth it! Today's class was all about "Ruffle" yarn and making fun, crazy, twirly, ruffle scarves out of it. The yarn is 100% acrylic with a net type of material. Each yarn company that sells this kind of yarn calls it a different thing, but basically it is called "ruffle yarn".

Lives: In the Temporary Housing Unit (THU) in Shichigahama. She originally lived in a smaller housing unit and was asked which new THU she would like to move to. She asked to be closer to her grandchildren who were living in a THU close by to the THU that Yarn Alive meets in. She had seen Yarn Alive on T.V. and really wanted to be a part of it. She was very happy to be placed in this THU where Yarn Alive gathers.
